Sink Installation
Ray Nelson Hand Blown Art Glass Sinks are all Vessel Mount sinks; they are designed to be set into a counter top. Each sink is formed by hand and signed by the artist.
Dimensions: Typical sinks are 14 to17 inches in diameter and 4 to 6 inches in depth. The diameter can be up to 18 inches.
Pricing: Sinks are priced based on design and size. A 50% deposit is required to start your project and the balance is due upon shipping. Visa or MasterCard are accepted.
While art glass sinks are annealed for hardness and are very sturdy, they are made of glass and therefore subject to chipping or breakage if abused.
To Prevent Breakage:
* Thermal Shock - All hand blown glass sinks are susceptible to thermal shock. To prevent cracking, do not fill sink with very hot water or run hot water constantly.
* Misuse - heavy objects dropped into the sink or any heavy impact before or after installation may result in breakage.
* Improper Installation - over-tightening of drain assembly, insufficient support of sink.
Installation Instructions:
* We recommend having your sink installed by a professional plumber with prior experience installing glass sinks.
* The bottom of the vessel must be supported.
* Drain assemblies must be hand tightened. Use silicone instead of plumbers putty.
* A silicone seal should be used between sink and countertop.
